This panel is for patients without symptoms who are planning a pregnancy or IVF treatment. The principle in routine screening is to avoid unnecessary tests: the panel consists of the core group with the highest clinical importance for preconception and pregnancy. It is physician-led, results are interpreted by the physician, and confidentiality applies throughout (KVKK).
CORE PANEL — BLOOD
HIV 1/2 Ag/Ab (4th generation) · HBsAg · Anti-HBs · Anti-HBc total · Anti-HCV · Syphilis serology: treponemal test with or without RPR/VDRL.
CORE PANEL — GENITAL / URINARY NAAT
Chlamydia trachomatis · Neisseria gonorrhoeae.
Screening for HIV, syphilis, hepatitis B and hepatitis C is specifically recommended in pregnancy; chlamydia and gonorrhoea screening is performed according to age and risk.
ADDED WHEN THERE IS RISK OR AN INDICATION
Trichomonas vaginalis · Mycoplasma genitalium · HSV-1/2 (if there is a history or an active lesion, by the appropriate method) · HPV testing (SEPARATELY from this panel, according to the patient's age and the current cervical cancer screening programme).
WHAT WE DELIBERATELY LEAVE OUT
We do NOT include Ureaplasma parvum, Ureaplasma urealyticum or Mycoplasma hominis in routine asymptomatic preconception screening. These bacteria can be part of the normal genital flora; screening for them routinely leads to unnecessary antibiotic use. Likewise, routine Trichomonas or HSV-2 screening in an asymptomatic pregnant woman is not recommended by the CDC. This is not a gap — it is a deliberate, guideline-based choice. If there are symptoms or risk factors, these agents are added anyway.
WHICH PANEL IS RIGHT FOR YOU — THE PHYSICIAN DECIDES
Our clinic has two panels: Panel 1 (this comprehensive panel) and Panel 2 (Preconception / IVF Infection Screening Panel). Which one is appropriate for you is decided and recommended by the PHYSICIAN after your symptoms, history and plans (such as preparing for pregnancy or IVF) have been assessed. This is not a menu to choose from; your physician determines the correct panel.
TRANSFER: Your hotel pick-up and return transfer are INCLUDED in the package; there is nothing for you to arrange.
HOW THE VISIT WORKS — STEP BY STEP
1. Our transfer team contacts you and takes your location details.
2. You are collected from where you are staying in our VIP Mercedes and brought to the clinic.
3. Your doctor examines you and performs an ultrasound.
4. Based on the examination findings and your history, your doctor RECOMMENDS and determines the panel that is right for you.
5. The necessary blood and/or swab samples are taken at the clinic.
6. You are driven back to where you were collected from, again by our VIP Mercedes transfer.
The pick-up time is set by our clinic team and sent to you before your appointment, together with the driver and vehicle details.
